Self-Assesment

First of all, I would like to start saying that for me the teaching practicum was a very good experience even though I realized that the fact of being a teacher requires all of effort and energy. 

At the beginning I was very worried because I thought that for men was not that easy to handle with children as it is for women, but later I realized that it is not the gender what matters, It is the effort and time you spend preparing your classes and the love and caring you show to your students.

Teaching is not only a job in which we take place in front of all our students, but also it is an opportunity to develop our skills and the knowledge that we have. In my teaching practicum I had to face different scenarios, and then I learned that we as teacher have to take advantage of the knowledge that we have been acquiring in didactics class this semester.

Sometimes I had to improve my classes on the road because of the behavior of my students. They made a lot of troubles, but fortunately I knew how to manage and  teach them. In my opinion, I didn't do an excellent job, but I tried to do my best every single time that I went to the school. My students were happy all the time, they worked a lot and they did it well.

My recommendations for the ones who teach young learners are the following:

·      First: try to be a dynamic teacher because it helps a lot when you teach, that gives you the power to catch the attention of your students.

·      Second: be always prepared for the worst scenarios in the classroom because that is going to be the key for you to handle a difficult situation.

·    Third: you have to take into account that you have to use the appropriate level of language for your students, and that is a better way for they to understand the topic you are teaching.

Honestly this was an experience that left me a lot of nice memories, I learned a lot of new things that I know are going to be very useful in the future. As teachers we can change the future trough children.
